Samsung Slim Needle

Samsung has gained ground against the rest of the competition with its line of high definition televisions is a fact (even the almighty Sony uses this Korean manufacturer panels). But that does not cease to surprise the market. Now they’ve made a new 40-inch LCD screen with LED backlight and a striking feature: its thickness. We’re used to its line LED, very thin, but not to the point of this Samsung Slim Needle, which has only 3.9 mm.

This figure is impressive, but it is more remarkable when we note that Samsung has not mortgaged good performance on this Samsung Slim Needle to achieve such thinness. On the contrary, this TV has a FullHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 hertz imaging. This latter finding invites us to think that Samsung is preparing the airstrip for the arrival of 3D content in the domestic environment (emission technology requires a three-dimensional sweep of at least 120 hertz).

Moreover, Samsung seems to get off the hype train that we have used the industry when it comes to describing the contrast ratio of the TV. In this case, far from stratospheric figures the Samsung Slim Needle comes with a fee of 5.000:1, which if true, would offer a very reliable black spectra.

The worst of the presentation comes in the form of question: departure date and price. The Korean company has been quick to show this Samsung Slim Needle, but has not progress on the launch of this TV or has ventured to give approximate costs that the customer would have to bear to take home this Samsung Slim Needle. The bad news is that most likely cost a pretty penny. The good news is that the family of Samsung LED TV is now on the market could become cheaper as a counterpart to the launch of Samsung Slim Needle. We’ll see.
